Iran’s ‘Patio’ wins award at Bangladeshi filmfest

Iran’s ‘Patio’ has grabbed Special Mention in Best Feature Film Category at the 18th Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) in Bangladesh.

‘Patio’ is the first directorial experience of Maryam Bahrololoumi.

The film which narrates a feminine story is based on a script written by Hamed Qasemi.

It depicts the life of a girl whose fiancé has returned after two years and wants to make a life with the girl, but the girl refuses to live with him after she loses her dad.

Some of the actors starring in the film include Behnaz Jafari, Ali Yaqoubi, Babak Ansari, Pouriya Poursorkh and Karim Amini.

Since 1977, the Dhaka fest has been promoting a healthy culture in the film industry in Bangladesh with the main theme of “Better Film, Better Audience, Better Society.”

The 18th edition of the event was held on January 11-19, 2020.
